About the owner Mrs. Sherry

Sherry Simons-Tuyls, Owner and operator of Low Country Restoration has over 30 years of experience in furniture restoration. Sherry took over all operations after the passing of her late husband in 2006. Not only is Sherry skilled in furniture repair and restoration, but she is also vastly skilled in the lost art of weaving. She weaves with materials to include Cane, Rush and Hong Kong Grass to replace chair seats and backs in chairs, stools and other furniture pieces. Sherry shares and teaches her restoration and weaving talents with her grandchildren and family through employment.

During her spare time Sherry enjoys time with her Husband, Friends, Children (2), Grandchildren (15) and Great grandchildren (4). She is a lover of the sea island life and loves shell finding and boating. Her home is her osais with chickens, pets, gardening, pond days and of course her beloved furniture restoration buissness
